Case Summary

Tata Power Limited has established a power plant near the Trombay in Moharastra. The assignment involved assisting the Tata Engineering Consultants in development of a land use map for obtaining environmental clearance from MoEF for extension of the power plant units. The process involved selection and procurement of the high resolution satellite images (panchromatic Cartosat-I and Multspectral Resourcesat LISS-IV) from NRSC, Hyderabad. The Class-III land use pattern was derived from high resolution satellite imagery within 10km radius of the project area.
