Case Summary

The assignment involves de-reservation of Forest land for construction of an Auto Component Complex by IDCO Industrial Development Corporation of Odisha (IDCO) had a plan to build an Auto Component complex at Tangi-Choudwar Tahasil of Cuttack. There are 88 Hectare of forest land in the proposed area of 288ha. SPARC assisted IDCO to get forest clearance form MOEF. The Forest Diversion Proposal includes preparation of the maps and documents with reference to the Survey of India (SOI) Topographic Maps, Revenue village Cadastral maps involved in the project area, High Resolution Satellite Imagery for submission along with the Part-I documents to the Nodal Officer, State Forest Department. Preparation of the Geo-referenced map involved identification & establishment of primary control points (PCP) along the slurry pipe line with reference to the ORSAC known points (SOI national grid), identification of the secondary control points and DGPS observations of the permanent ground features for the revenue cadastral maps involved in the project. Geo-referencing of the revenue cadastral maps for delineation of the forest land followed by staking-out and demarcation of the forest boundary through RTK based DGPS devices.
