Slum-to-Liveable Habitat initiative achieved World Habitat Award

Jaga Mission wins World Habitat Award for its ambitious initiative of empowering 1.7 million urban poor living in the slum areas of Odisha. Being the Technical Partner, Chief Minister felicitated Jaga Mission on this enormous accomplishment.
Slum-to-Liveable Habitat Mission has been executed in collaboration of two reputed organizations: Sir Ratan Tata Trusts and Norman Foster Foundation. SPARC as Technical Partner of Tata Trust supported Jaga Mission with massive task of survey using drones and GIS technologies in 1725 slums and estimation of the land area of individual slum households in 55 ULBs of 14 districts in Odisha covering about 52,682 households in 945 slums.
