SPARC has been selected by Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to develop and implement a Web-enabled GIS-based Property Tax Management System for urban areas in Ethiopia through an Open Global Competitive Bidding. The proposed system is to be initially commissioned in 3 pilot cities of Ethiopia namely Bahir-dar, Dire-dawa and Mekele.
The Web GIS based Property Tax Management System shall have alternate options for property valuation, tax rate fixation, demand generation and payment tracking including map-based visualization of the property and its geographic settings (land use zone, neighbourhood, etc.).
The system shall have options for arrear tracking, penalty and rebate computations, grievance handling; and shall help urban authorities to maintain better transparency in tax computations with the property owner. The system shall also facilitate visualization of gaps in assessment of properties, tax planning and revenue growth.
SPARC has been selected by Odisha Construction Corporation Limited (OCCL) to assist in preparation of State Specific Action Plan (SSAP) for Water Sector in Odisha.
The assignment consists of preparation of current status report of water resources in the State of Odisha after recognizing problems/issues, identifying probable solutions and preparation of detailed action plan for water conservation to mitigate the likely impact of Climate Change.
The main objective of the assignment is to ensure sustainable and efficient management of water resources through minimum wastage and equitable water distribution across and within the States.
The Action Plan for Water Sector will be developed parallely with State Action Plan on Climate Change formulated by the States under National Action Plan for Climate Change (NAPCC). OCCL was nominated as the nodal agency by the Department of Water Resources, Government of Odisha for preparation of the action plan.
