The Joint venture company of TATA and Sasool of SA has been allotted a coal block for the proposed Coal to Liquid plant in the Angul district. The assignment involved preparation of the GIS based database for the coal lease area. The process involves collection of the revenue cadastral maps and the corresponding Record of Right land documents from the concerned authorities. The data conversion/ digitization process involves Vectorisation/ Grid Correction/ Mosaicing/ Spatial Database generation. The land schedule database was prepared through digitization of the RoR. GIS application tools was utilized to link the spatial land database with corresponding land record data through the Key field. GIS based land classification thematic data layers were generated through data filter/ query operations. Composition of maps were carried out through composition of the generated thematic data layers as per the requirement of the Land Acquisition/ Alieneation filing Single Window Authority (IDCO) of the Govt. of Odisha. The composed maps were printed on different materials such as paper, blue print, cloth and Tear Resistant Film (TRF) along with the printing of the land schedules in specified numbers for submission.
