Case Summary

Topographic maps of the command area in 1:15000 scale showing 2.5 meter contours where integrated with revenue maps showing land parcels in the command in 1:4000 scale. The irrigation sub system (distributaries, minor and sub minors) were planned referring to the drainage & contours from the topographic maps. The alignments were transferred to the cadastral maps to plan land acquisition. The alignments and contours were used to generate tentative longitudinal section to plan & locate irrigation structure such as canal falls, outlets, cross drainage works, village road crossing etc.
