Case Summary

The assignment involved Development of web based MIS application to manage the forestry related programs and schemes implemented for development of degraded forests as well as for improvement of livelihood. The application provides facilities for remote input of data with appropriate data entry interfaces with embedded validation routines to facilitate input of data from range offices. The progress data entered at the range level are verified on-line at the Division offices and are submitted to the state project management office. The report module facilitates generation of both pre-defined and query-based reports. Besides, the system also provides data export and import utility facilitate data communication in absence of internet connectivity. The application covers monitoring of all the forestry schemes included under the OFSDP such as Nursery, Soil Moisture Conservation, Plantation, Entry point activities, Livelihood activities, forest conservation interventions etc. The assignment also covered implementation & operationalisation of the MIS application in all the 14 forest divisions covering 70 range offices.
