The assignment involved environmental study of the 765KV Double Circuit Jharsuguda-Dharmajayagarh line, 400KV D/C Rourkela - Raigarh line & 765 KV S/C Angul-Jharsuguda Line - I & II. The process coved identification of the forest cover and preparation of the Geo-referenced through establishment of primary control points (PCP) along the transmission line with reference to the ORSAC known points (SOI national grid), identification of the Secondary Control Points (SCPs) and DGPS observations of the permanent ground features for the revenue cadastral maps involved in the project. Geo-referencing of the revenue cadastral maps for delineation of the forest land, identification of the forest land change points followed by staking-out and demarcation of the forest boundary through RTK based DGPS devices. The outcome of the survey was used to generate the slurry pipeline alignment map on a cadastral base showing the forest land involved along with the forest boundary coordinates. The geo-referenced forest land map was scrutinized and approved by the concerned divisional forest offices after certification from ORSAC and was submitted to MoEF for approval of Forest Clearance.
